Spare Time!

SMARTY: I love reading your comments and surfing the interent for fun and new things to do and learn. What do you do in your spare time? What interests you? What would like to try that you have never done before?

Write a paragraph all about how you spend your free time. Include hobbies and sports and also anything that you have not tried but would like do.

Punctuate these sentences!

SMARTY: I love reading all your comments, especially the comments that have been written by children who have worked extremely hard on making sure their comments make sense and are punctuated correctly.

Have a go at the activity above by clicking on it. Then edit these sentences in the comments section. Every sentence needs at least one correction. You also know Miss Cox's rules about the word, "said". So you better change it quick!

1. "Lets hang them up on the washing line" said george.

2. "Now,""I hope you have learnt your lesson" said carlys mum clearly

3. "but I never have" I said "I know Aaron knows how" danny said.

4. "bye Tony." Joe said.

5. "OK then" I said

6. "lets give them a wash so we did."

7. "why should i" said James

8. Michael jumped up and down and said great goal mate.
